Our Impact

See how your support is making a difference in cancer research.

100% Goes to Research

All proceeds raised through The Ribbon Research Open go directly to cancer research at The Hormel Institute. No administrative fees, no overhead—just pure impact.

Fighting All Types of Cancer

Unlike many single-cause charity events, the Ribbon Research Open supports research on ALL types of cancer at The Hormel Institute.

Breast Cancer Research

Advancing understanding of breast cancer biology, prevention strategies, and targeted therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Prostate Cancer Research

Developing new approaches to detection, treatment, and prevention of prostate cancer affecting millions worldwide.

Lung, Brain, Skin & More

Supporting research across all major cancers and lesser-known cancers. No matter what type has affected your family, your support helps fight it.

Why We Do This

It reminds us in a different way why we're here. It reminds us that we are a community; that we come together to remember those who we've lost, and to make it so we don't lose anyone else.

Robert Clarke, PhD, DSc
Executive Director, The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota

Nu-Tek is very proud to be a part of The Ribbon Research Open. It is a privilege to work with The Hormel Institute to establish this tournament, as it's one of the best ways we can help create a better future for those impacted by cancer.

Tom Yezzi
CEO, Nu-Tek BioSciences

We know that the answer to accelerating answers to cancer, finding new therapies, preventing cancer, and longevity, is through research. Nothing happens in those important goals that affect you and your family, me and mine, other than medical research.

Gail Dennison, MA, CFRE
Director of Development and External Relations, The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota

Each dollar we give gets us one step closer to not losing someone we love. Our goal is to be able to say, "Remember when people used to pass away from cancer?" Someday, we'd like for it to be a thing of the past.
